ACTION ALERT: FINAL PUSH FOR THIS SESSION

As we enter the final two weeks of this record-shattering session, we want to make sure that we don’t rest on our laurels. There are still so many good bills at risk of running out of precious time if action isn’t taken TODAY. If you’ve been 100% plugged in along the way this session, please continue your efforts. If you have not participated in an Action Alert yet this Session, NOW IS THE TIME!

Let’s walk through the bills that are in the Red Zone, and how you can help get them over the goal line!

HB 44 (Swanson) End Medicaid Discrimination:
Having received bipartisan support on the House floor, HB 44 was quickly received by the Senate and heard in the Health and Human Services Committee on Wednesday, May 10. Unfortunately, the bill was not voted out that day and this is the final week for that to occur. MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD:

TWO BILLS IN CALENDARS:
SB 177 (Middleton) Texas COVID Vaccine Freedom Act: This is the companion to Representative Brian Harrison’s HB 81, for which he has fought valiantly over the last 18 months. This bill would codify  informed consent and would allow Texans to decline COVID vaccines for any reason they see fit – no cumbersome exemption process! It has been voted out of the Senate and favorably passed through the House Committee on Public Health.

SB 493 (Hughes) Defend Veterans Who Were Unconstitutionally Discharged for Refusing the COVID Jab: SB 493 would restore veterans’ status to honorable for the purposes of state veterans services for any veteran residing in our state who was less than honorably discharged for not complying with the illegal Department of Defense COVID vaccine mandate. It has been voted out of the Senate and passed favorably out of the House Defense and Veterans Affairs Committee.
Both SB 177 and SB 493 are awaiting a floor vote but have yet to be placed on the State Calendar. MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD:

Dear Chair Burrows,

I am writing to you today to ask that you move swiftly to place SB 177 and SB 493 on the House Calendar to defend our military and Texans’ right to informed consent. As Representative Harrison has said, “there is no freedom in Texas without medical freedom” and SB 177 and SB 493 are necessary to protect freedom in our state.

Thank you,

SB 29 (Birdwell) End Government COVID Mandates: In response to Governor Abbott and Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick prioritizing the end of any local or state government COVID-related vaccine and mask mandates and business or school closures, Senator Brian Birdwell filed SB 29 to do just that. It has passed the Senate and was heard last week in the  House Committee on State Affairs. Chairman Todd Hunter left the bill pending in Committee and time is quickly running out; Hunter must vote it out by the end of this  week! MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD:

Call and Email the State Affairs Committee Chair:

Dear Chair Hunter,
I am writing to you today to ask you to please move SB 29 through the State Affairs Committee this week so it has a chance to be finally passed before the end of this legislative session.

 Thank you,

TWO BILLS IN PUBLIC HEALTH
SB 265 (Perry) Mandate Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting: As we know all too well, the VAERS system for reporting vaccine adverse events is woefully underutilized by medical professionals, even when they acknowledge that an injury is vaccine-related. SB 265 would require physicians to report such events, which is a critical step toward achieving full informed consent about vaccinations. We cannot adequately be informed if doctors are suppressing crucial data about side effects.

SB 1584 (Hall) Ensure Safe, Directed Blood Donations: This bill would address the issue of blood transfusions involving blood from donors who may have taken an mRNA therapy. By allowing Texans to specify their blood donor or donate their own blood to themselves, SB 1584 protects patients’ rights and informed consent.

Both SB 265 and SB 1584 have passed the Senate and were referred to the House Committee on Public Health, but have yet to have a hearing or be voted out. MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD:

Call and Email the Public Health Committee Chair:
[email protected]

Dear Chair Klick,
I am writing to you today to ask you to please move SB 265 and SB 1584 through the Public Health Committee by Friday, May 20, so that it has a chance to be finally passed before the end of this legislative session.

Thank you,

  1. Please remember this… Medical Freedom means ALL Vaccines are Voluntary & of an individual’s Choice!

Mandated medical procedures have no place in a free society.
For the first time in history a medicines ineffectiveness was blamed on those who haven’t taken it.
When doctors and nurses were quitting their jobs over a medical mandate, it’s time to realize that something is seriously wrong.

  4. Fantastic work you all are doing!!! You make communicating with our Reps and Senators so easy and quick. Keep up the great work. Thanks for all you continue to do. All emails were easily sent. I modified them at the beginning to make them personal and unique.

  5. Never take a shot that the government requires. There is a reason that they are pushing the shot. They are trying to reduce population.

I tried, as before, copying all the email addresses and pasting but it did not work. Maybe some browsers don’t allow that. ,??
