FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: TFVC ANNOUNCES LEGISLATIVE PRIORITY VICTORY

Keller, TX. June 7, 2024 – The finalized list of the top eight Legislative Priorities approved by the delegates to the Republican Party of Texas Convention has been released, and TFVC is ecstatic that our vaccine choice language was included!

The original medical freedom language that was incorporated into the “End Federal Overreach” priority was vague and unsubstantial. Watch here as TFVC President Rebecca Hardy testified before the Legislative Priorities Committee to advocate for stronger and more direct verbiage that would address the urgent issues Texans are still currently experiencing. 

The language TFVC proposed and that was ultimately adopted states:

Ensuring that Texans have medical freedom and can give or withhold consent for any vaccine or medical treatment without coercion, are not discriminated against based on vaccine status, and are not faced with any vaccine or medical mandate by public or private entities.

With the support of vaccine choice delegates from across the state, TFVC can celebrate this huge win and now focus on helping draft impactful policy!
