For nearly forty years, Americans who have experienced vaccine injuries have been blocked from seeking justice because Congress provided pharmaceutical companies with almost total immunity from liability for harm. But Texans whose family members have experienced an adverse event or – worse – death after being given a vaccine have a glimmer of hope thanks to HB 3441 authored by medical liberty champion State Rep. Shelley Luther.
This thoughtful and bipartisan bill would provide an avenue for compensation for those injured by a vaccine by requiring manufacturers who advertise in our state to accept liability, and we have hope it will pass this session.
Sadly, the potential for this bill to help Texans seeking relief for lifelong negative consequences from vaccination is being threatened by another pair of bills that are quickly making its way through the Capitol – SB 30 and HB 4806.
As currently written, these bills protect vaccine manufacturers from liability for any damage they cause. In short, SB 30 and HB 4806 would minimize any positive change that would come about from the passage of Luther’s HB 3441.
We are calling on TFVC supporters to stand up for the vaccine injured today!
- Urge Chairman Jeff Leach to vote HB 3441 as-is out of the Committee on the Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence ASAP
- Ask your Representative to oppose HB 4806 as currently written
