Keller, TX. November 4, 2026 – Despite the hard work and dedication of countless candidates, advocates, and volunteers across Texas, the results of the midterm election are disappointing.
The medical liberty victories TFVC has secured over the past five years represent more than a decade of tireless work. They are the direct result of our relentless advocacy and the strong relationships we’ve spent years building with legislative champions in Austin.
But the political landscape that made those victories possible no longer exists.
With the election results in, trusted legislative champions now represent a minority in the Texas House. Committees that once provided opportunities to advance medical liberty legislation will now be chaired by lawmakers who have consistently opposed our efforts to protect your vaccine choice rights, meaning legislation aimed at attacking medical liberty will be in play on the floor of the Texas House.
The Lieutenant Governor, who presides over the Texas Senate, was won by a state representative who has voted against every pro-medical liberty bill since her first election. Thankfully, the makeup of the Texas Senate itself remains solidly on the side of freedom. With losses in the other statewide offices, they remain our last line of defense against medical tyranny.
They must hold the line and protect the victories that grassroots Texans have fought so hard to achieve.
None of these developments change our resolve to defend the rights and freedoms of Texas families. TFVC will not retreat, and neither should you. Now is not the time for panic, despair, or complacency.
The 90th Texas Legislative Session begins in January. Now is the time to get engaged and act. The future of vaccine choice in Texas depends on the families and advocates who refuse to surrender their freedoms.
On a final note, God is still on His throne. Our hope has never come from candidates or political outcomes. Our principles and commitment to protecting the God-given rights of Texas families remain unchanged. We move forward with courage and conviction, continuing to trust God with the work He has placed before us.
The fight for medical liberty must continue, and TFVC is not backing down.
