Demand Governor Abbott Prioritize Medical Liberty this Session
| For more than two years, Texans have been beholden to extreme public health measures put into action by their employers and at the behest of overbearing unelected bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. Thousands have lost their jobs and livelihoods because they chose to preserve their liberty and right to informed consent, rather than be coerced into a COVID-19 vaccination. Governor Abbott’s Executive Orders have addressed COVID-19 vaccine mandates, but these cannot exist in perpetuity. Though he called upon the Legislature to codify these protections during the third called session in 2021, they ultimately failed to act in time. Governor Abbott has said that “Texas shines as a beacon of hope, prosperity, and freedom”, but this cannot be true if its residents are under threat of medical mandates.
