Since the legal dispute between TFVC and our former executive director, Jackie Schlegel, has received recent attention, we want to provide full transparency to our supporters. To that end, TFVC has created a central repository of relevant articles, court documents, and the signed judgment to help you better understand the scope of the dispute, the facts of the case, and the court’s ultimate ruling against Schlegel.

Timeline of Events:

November 18, 2021, 4:55pm: TFVC staff calls TFVC’s Board of Directors to inform them that Schlegel transferred 80% of the balance (over $116K) out of the TFVC bank account on the eve of an agreed upon Board meeting. The Board held an emergency Board meeting to terminate Schlegel’s employment due to this unprecedented and unapproved transfer and to end the contract of Langston, the consultant she had hired.
