In a series of headline-grabbing events last week, the lies perpetuated by our public health institutions and used by governments at all levels to coerce citizens into compliance with mandates were dismantled. First, the Senate Finance Committee subjected HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to hours of criticism and outright insults. Some committee members even released a statement calling on RFK Jr. to resign from his post, claiming he is a danger to the American people. One by one, RFK Jr. calmly and rationally responded to these outlandish accusations. He pointed out that the recent shake-ups at the CDC, in which some in leadership were fired and some walked out in protest, were the result of years, if not decades, of failures by the agency to improve the health of Americans and stem the tide of increased chronic disease rates in children. During one exchange, RFK Jr. revealed that more than 75% of Americans suffer from a chronic disease and 80% of our children would be medically disqualified from military service. When pressed about his skepticism of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), an organization that has repeatedly maligned RFK Jr. and his policies, he exposed that the four largest contributors to the AAP are vaccine manufacturers, presenting a glaring conflict of interest. This entire hearing was clearly intended to put RFK Jr. in the “hot seat,” but he turned the tables on committee members by destroying lie after lie.

Later in the week, Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo lit a media firestorm by saying that he intends to work with public health departments and the legislature to rescind any and all government vaccine mandates in the Sunshine State, comparing these draconian policies to slavery. His bold statements had medical tyrants across the country spinning out of control, with the Chairman of the Florida chapter of the AAP claiming that Dr. Ladapo will be putting school children and staff at risk of certain death. Team TFVC was fielding calls from supporters and journalists the rest of the week, wanting to know our thoughts on this proposed policy change in FL. Our thoughts? With the exception of healthcare facilities, the vast majority of Texans and all public school and higher education students have a right to exempt themselves from any vaccine for any reason at any time; in essence, there are no true government mandates in our state. And we will continue to work to end any remaining requirements, particularly the policies impacting those who work in hospital and clinic settings. In fact, we recently announced the rule change adopted by the Department of State Health Services which reiterates current Texas law – college students enrolled in human and animal health care courses must be able to submit exemptions and the exemption is finally available for direct download on our website and the DSHS site.

Finally, documents obtained via Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests revealed that federal public health bureaucrats knew all along that COVID vaccine breakthrough cases were very real and a threat to the public. Despite this knowledge, former CDC Director Rochelle Walensky took to the airwaves in 2021 to assure Americans that such cases did not exist, which compounded the issue while allowing the federal government to argue in court that its mandates were necessary for the greater good.

These bombshells continue to affirm what many of us have known for years, even before COVID was a household phrase – the vaccine industry and the government entities tasked with regulating public health have been inextricably tied together for far too long, with the proverbial fox guarding the hen house. Thanks in part to courageous leaders like RFJK and Dr. Ladapo, the manipulation of the American public is beginning to unwind and the health of our children is becoming a priority.

TFVC is grateful for the work being done at the highest levels of government, but our focus will continue to be protecting and advancing informed consent, medical privacy and vaccine choice in Texas.

We have come so far, but we still have a long way to go and we need you at every step!
