The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) will hold its next meeting on March 18–19 at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta.

The current ACIP panel, appointed by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., looks very different from committees in the past. Previous panels were often criticized for having close ties to vaccine manufacturers and potential conflicts of interest. This new group says it wants to take a fresh look at vaccine safety concerns, especially issues that many feel have not received enough attention over the years.

And they want to hear directly from the public.Ā

To that end, this ACIP panel is actively inviting public input. You can share your perspective either by speaking during the meeting or by submitting written comments ahead of time. The committee has indicated that it intends to carefully review what people submit.

One of the topics on the agenda is COVID-19 vaccine injury, something many believe previous ACIP panels would have been unlikely to address.

If you or someone you love has experienced a vaccine injury and feel comfortable sharing your story, this may be an opportunity to make your voice heard and help inform the discussion.

Written comments for Docket CDC-2026-0199 must be submitted by March 12.
