A notable 76% of A recent survey on mask mandates showed a stark contrast in support has surfaced along party lines, reflecting the ongoing debate surrounding COVID-19 measures. Democrats voiced their support for reinstating mask mandates, according to a fresh poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports. In contrast, only one-third of Republicans, alongside 45% of respondents unaffiliated with a political party, expressed agreement with such mandates.

This latest statistic marks a considerable shift for Democrats from the previous year’s poll, where 51% had reservations about mask mandates. Meanwhile, 72% of Republicans remained steadfast in their support for personal freedom and limited government intervention.

As the nation grapples with divergent perspectives, it is evident that concerns about the resurgence of COVID-19 align with political affiliations. Approximately 54% of Americans report apprehension about the virus, with 21% expressing significant worry.

Rasmussen’s comprehensive survey, conducted via phone and online, involved the input of 1,091 American adults during September 6, 7, and 10, 2023.

Other recent polling suggests that Republicans are far less likely to consider getting the COVID jab this fall and express more regret about having taken at least one COVID shot already, saying that it wasn’t worth it.

These findings emerge as prominent Democratic leaders advocate for their constituents to receive the newest COVID-19 vaccine doses. New York Governor Kathy Hochul has taken a decisive stance, while oddly emphasizing that previous immunizations may not provide adequate protection.

In her words, “I know everyone wants to be done with COVID, but COVID is not done with us. Get the vaccine.”

Additionally, President Biden, who has received both the COVID-19 vaccine and a flu shot, has encouraged Americans to follow suit as the cold and flu season approaches.

“As we enter the cold and flu season, the President encourages all Americans to follow his example and to consult with their healthcare provider or pharmacist to ensure they are fully vaccinated,” stated White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor in a memo. Dr. O’Connor failed to mention that the term “fully vaccinated” is arbitrary and undefined – is it one annual shot or six shots over the course of two and a half years or another standard entirely?

The debate surrounding COVID-19 mandates and vaccinations continues, prompting individuals to assert their medical freedom and make informed decisions in the best interest of their health and well-being.
