It has been ten years in the making, but the day has finally come! The Department of State Health Services has posted a link to the NEW printable exemption affidavit, allowing parents and college students to easily access and submit this form – no wait time, no taxpayer funds wasted on postage, no limit to the number of affidavits you can have on hand, and no state-level tracking of exemption requests.
This has been a goal for TFVC since our inception in 2015, and this update marks a huge win for medical liberty.
In addition to a new exemption affidavit form, the DSHS website clarifies that all college and university students, including those completing coursework related to healthcare or veterinary care, have a right to use this form to exempt themselves from any vaccination requirements.
To use this form, just click on the link, print the affidavit, and manually fill in parts (A) and (B) only. Part (D) must be completed in the presence of a notary public. Once notarized, turn in the form to the appropriate entity, i.e. your child’s daycare or middle school. Affidavits are still valid for two years from the date of notarization. You and your notary may also find our handy How-To helpful.
While this is a major victory, it is not the end of our battle for medical liberty. TFVC will continue to fight for your right to accept or decline a vaccine for any reason without any coercion or state interference.
We envision a future in Texas where we no longer have to submit paperwork to exercise our right to make medical decisions for ourselves or our children.
