HB 44 would end vaccination-related discrimination against pediatric patients covered by Medicaid and CHIP insurance plans. It was passed with bipartisan support out of the full House and the Senate Committee on Health and Human Services. When it reaches the Senate floor, it will need strong support from Senators on both sides of the aisle.

I am writing to you today to ask you for your support of HB 44, which would require government-contracted doctors to provide routine and life-saving care to Texas children who are not vaccinated on schedule. Please vote YES to give these marginalized and medically fragile children access to much-needed healthcare services.
