More Legal Wins for Medical Liberty

With so many still living under draconian (and ineffective) Covid mitigation measures, Texans for Vaccine Choice would like to provide some HOPE with two legal wins for medical liberty that came down this week:

First, Aaron Siri and his legal team successfully won a permanent injunction that will provide relief to over 9,000 Air Force members whose religious exemptions to the Covid vaccine requirement were denied. This relief means that the Air Force is now prohibited from taking any separation or other punitive action against any class member.

The case was won on the merits of religious freedom since the Air Force was systematically denying religious exemptions, while  simultaneously granting medical and administrative exemptions.

Judge McFarland stated in his initial opinion for a preliminary injunction:
[t]his case presents the constitutional collision of brave men and women serving in the Air Force sincerely trying to exercise their religious beliefs and their esteemed superiors who have loaded their weapons against them.

TFVC applauds Siri, his team, and this brave judge for bravely standing with our Air Force and on the right side of religious liberty!

Second, Liberty Counsel settled the nation’s first classwide lawsuit for healthcare workers over their Covid jab mandate. The case, against NorthShore University HealthSystem, grants more than 500 health care workers who were denied religious exemptions a settlement of $10,337,500 due to NorthShore’s religious discrimination. In addition to the financial compensation, terminated employees will be eligible for rehire with their seniority level intact.

The settlement also requires NorthShore to change its unlawful “no religious accommodations” policy. Now, all positions at NorthShore must be open to unvaccinated employees with approved religious exemptions.

This is a historic, first-of-its-kind class action settlement against a private employer who unlawfully denied hundreds of
religious exemption requests to Covid shots.

You may recall TFVC’s additional legal win earlier this summer. We are seeing that it’s going to take legal action to take back ground lost during the medical overreach we have all experienced over the last few years, and TFVC stands ready to take the actions necessary to protect and advance your rights in the coming battles for your medical liberty!

  1. Great news learning about the positive outcomes from all the efforts from TFVC to those healthcare workers and airforce members! I follow your articles to learn how we can defend ourselves ( as workforce members and citizens) and for that purpose, TFVC and the information you share give us an invaluable resource. Your shared results are amazing and I pray God gives your organization more victories for the best health knowledge of the people. Strength and blessings for you all.

  2. Are there any pending cases they are going after the DoD? The US Army has had many good Soldiers get Discharged because of their mandate. There are some that lost their pension because of the DoD Mandate.
